Dear Friends and ART | TROPE Members,

Virginie Tison has finally finished the most important work of her career: a new ecosystem for the fine arts industry and artistic freedom in the digital age. It all boils down to her mantra : Let Artists Create !

How can artists manage all the new opportunities in this do-it-yourself environment? And will artists have to ultimately choose business over creativity at every turn? As an artist herself, Virginie Tison understands the challenges we face. She has finally created a new world for artistic careers to thrive with a financial system in place to make it all possible. Our values are to defend and support our members. It’s important to respect our customers and give them our word. We firmly believe in making the priorities of working artists paramount.

These are difficult times, of course. The more that Virginie advanced, the more aware she grew about the disorders of the fine arts market. Virginie forged vibrant relationships between these artistic communities. She turned obstacles into opportunities.

The contributions from Virginie’s team set an example of determination and serve as a vision for the future.

We have yet to start the ART | TROPE promotion, but more than 200 artists have applied (some of them are still pending). Artists know that the ART | TROPE concept is a necessity in the fine arts market. We would like to thank our contacts for their continuing efforts and their support via our social networks:

A 1500 Gallery abre a exposição Horizons, trazendo dez trabalhos inéditos do fotógrafo Bruno Cals.

Ganhou inúmeros prêmios, incluindo três no Cannes Lions International Advertising Festival.

A galeria

Performance / "Ventriloqua," with Aura Satz and Dorit Chrysler (Wednesday, 2 May)

Dear friends of Cabinet,

Please join us for "Ventriloqua," a performance by Aura Satz and Dorit Chrysler.

Performance / "Ventriloqua," with Aura Satz and Dorit Chrysler
Date: Wednesday, 2 May 2012, 7–8 pm
Location: Cabinet, 300 Nevins Street, Brooklyn (map and directions here)
FREE. No RSVP necessary

"Ventriloqua" is a duet in which Aura Satz, playing the electromagnetic waves of a pregnant body, is joined by Dorit Chrysler on the theremin. Referencing ventriloquism in its literal sense of "belly speaking," the performance turns the pregnant body into a musical instrument, an antenna, and a medium through which a pre-verbal, pre-vocal otherworldly voice is transmitted. Chrysler's theremin will create spectacular wave flames as its music triggers the flame alphabet of a Rubens' tube, while a Chladni plate will turn the acoustics into the uncodified language of sound figures.

SP ESTAMPA- 05 a 13 de maio

 Gravura Brasileira apresenta:

SP ESTAMPA 2012
