Dada Post zeigt in vier neuen Ausstellungen Arbeiten von der irischen Künstlerin Aisling O' Beirn aus Belfast, dem dänischen Künstler Anders Hellsten Nissen aus Berlin, Videoarbeiten von der Berliner Künstlerin Dorotea Doreen Etzler, sowie die Ausstellung „Outdoor: Udk -Klasse Konrad and Friends" kuratiert von Karsten Konrad.

Quantum Questions for Dummies
In ihrer Skulpturenausstellung "Quantum Questions for Dummies" setzt sich Aisling O' Beirn kritisch mit der Raumforschung als physische Struktur und politische Einheit auseinander, indem sie animierte Formen schafft, die Bezug auf beobachtete und theoretische Strukturen von zeitgenössischen Astronomen nehmen. Die Arbeit, die von dem Observatorium Armagh in Nordirland unterstützt wird, ist eine Erweiterung einer früheren Arbeit über die Beziehung der Politik von einem Ort, der die Spannungen zwischen ungleichen Formen von offiziellen und inoffiziellen Informationen aufdeckt.

Mixmaster
In seiner Ausstellung „Mixmaster" untersucht Anders Hellsten Nissen die Eigenschaften eines gewöhnlichen Betonmischers. Die wichtigste Funktion ist das Anheben von Material während die Trommel sich dreht. Mit jeder Drehung fällt das angehobene Material zurück auf den Boden der Trommel und der Kreislauf beginnt erneut. Der Betonmischer produziert bewegte Bilder, welche von dem Künstler in Stills übersetzt werden – frei von jeder assoziativen Symbolik, wird behauptet, dass Linien und Farben an sich konkret sind.

Nature Cut 1950-1975
Nature cut ist ein circa dreistündiges Videoprogramm, das sechzig Filme, die zwischen 1950 und 1975 gedreht worden sind, als Ausgangsmaterial nutzt. Durch das Herausschneiden aller Szenen mit Menschen schrumpfen die meist neunzig Minuten langen Filme auf circa zwei bis sieben Minuten Länge. Erinnern wir uns an das vergleichsweise langsame Filmtempo dieser Epoche. Durch die Reduktion von nature cut wird das Tempo dieser Filme auf einen der Zeit und der Jugend gemäßen Rhythmus beschleunigt. Der O-Ton der Flugschneise Tegel koppelt sich an der geöffneten Tür zum Kühlraum mit den Sounds von Flugszenen aus 25 Jahren Film- und Fernseh-Archiv. Die Ausstellung von Dorotea Doreen Etzler ermöglicht zum ersten Mal den Zutritt zu den Wohn- und Schlafräumen der Zwillinge König, der Töchter der Fischräucherei, die vor DADA-POST auf diesem Gelände war. Die original 70er Jahre Inneneinrichtung ist noch komplett erhalten. Wir können davon ausgehen, dass die Zwillinge einige Filme, die Dorotea Doreen Etzler für die nature cuts verwendet hat, in diesen Räumen angeschaut haben. Das Publikum kann auf ihren Sofas und Sesseln Platz nehmen.

(Skulpturenausstellung)
Udk -Klasse Konrad und Freunde
"Outdoor" kuratiert von Karsten Konrad, ist eine Skulpturenausstellung im Hof von Dada Post. Karsten Konrad ist Bildhauer und Gastprofessor an der Unversität der Künste Berlin. Nicht nur in Berlin ist er unter den Bildhauern einer der Bekanntesten, seinen Namen kennt man über die deutschen Grenzen hinaus.
Generationenübergreifend werden in der Ausstellung Arbeiten von jungen und etablierten Bildhauern gezeigt.

Quantum Questions for Dummies
Aisling O' Beirn's sculpture exhibition, titled "Quantum Questions for Dummies" critiques the exploration space as a physical structure and as a political entity, by making and animating forms relating to observed and theoretical structures being studied by contemporary astronomers. This work, facilitated by Armagh Observatory in Northern Ireland is an extension of previous work on the relationship between the politics of place uncovering the tensions between disparate forms of official and of unofficial information.

Mixmaster
In his exhibition Mixmaster at Dada Post, Anders Hellsten Nissen exposes the character of a common concrete mixer. The purpose is to mix the materials as the drum rotates. With each rotation, the lifted material drops back into the mixer at the bottom of the drum and the cycle starts again. The concrete mixer produces moving images which are translated into concrete stills - free of any symbolical association with reality, arguing that lines and colors are concrete by themselves.

Alles für die Reise (Everything for Your Trip)
Nature Cut 1950-1975
Nature cuts is an approximately four-hour long video cycle based on sixty films made between 1950 and 1975. Removal of all scenes showing people reduces each film from the original length, usually ninety minutes, to between roughly two and seven minutes. Films of that era had a comparatively slow tempo. The nature cuts reduction accelerates these films to a rhythm in keeping with current times and youth. The sound of the Tegel airport flight path is joined at the open door to the freezer-room (video installation space) with the sounds of flight scenes from 25 years of film and TV archives. Dorotea Doreen Etzler's exhibition provides for the first time access to the living and sleeping areas of the König twins, the daughters of the fish smokehouse, which was on this site prior to DADA-POST. The original 1970s décor has survived entirely intact. It is easy to assume that the twins saw in these rooms some of the films that Dorotea Doreen Etzler uses for her nature cuts. The public is invited to sit on their sofas and chairs.

Udk -Klasse Konrad and Friends
"Outdoor" is a sculpture exhibition sited in the courtyard of the Dada Post compound, and is curated by Karsten Konrad. Mr. Konrad is Gastprofessor at the Unversität der Künste Berlin, and a sculptor who has made a name for himself internationally, and is in the forefront of the Berlin sculpture scene.
This is a multi-generational exhibition consisting of a spectrum of young and established sculptors.
