Autumn is an extra special season on the fertile Coast around Half Moon Bay, California. Stunning vistas of seaside farm country with rolling fields of orange, scare crows and pick-your-own pumpkin patches. It's the perfect time of year to celebrate the bountiful fall harvest and Half Moon Bay does it like nobody else. Every year, a quarter-million visitors make the trek to the "Pumpkin Capital of the World" for the world-famous Half Moon Bay art & Pumpkin Festival. Massive Volkswagen-sized pumpkins, the amazing pumpkin carvers, harvest-inspired crafts, the tastiest pumpkin carvers", harvest-inspired crafts, the tastiest pumpkin pie on the planet, three stages of blockbuster entertainment, everyone's favorite home-spun parade, enchanting events and fun for the whole family, the never-ending search for the Great Pumpkin. Prizes: - First Prize $ 1000.00 (one)

- "The People's Choice" - $ 250.00 (one) - Creativity $100.00 (one)
Guidelines:If the Guidelines are not followed, the entry will not be entered or displayed. Entries must be submitted electronically and received by September 21, 2012. - Artwork files are to be vector based and submitted in both EPS and PDF formats, in CMYK.

- The design must include the words 43rd Annual Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin Festival.
- Entries must be appropriate and versatile for numerous promotional marketing purposes including printing, silk-screening and hot stamping in 4-color, 2-color, and 1-color and scale-able for small and large applications up to 15.5" x 16.5"
- Artwork must be original and not copied.

Entry Fees: Entry fees are used to provide a Scholarship for a student going into the arts. Entry fee is $20 for the first entry and $5 for each additional entry up to 4 entries per artist. All checks or money orders must be drawn on a U.S. bank. Entrants from outside the U.S. may pay by Visa, MasterCard or American Express. Entrants can pay by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Check or Money Order. Make checks payable to CAL PUMPKIN. Fees are nonrefundable. Entry fees must be sent with the entry form.
