"Matter-time-light" is a research project that took place during an artist residency at Pantocrátor gallery in Shanghai, in October and November 2012.
As an "intimate picture philology", this research addresses some questions related to the symbolic content of the picture production, and examines the link between its technical process and its presentation and development support.
The difference of inductive and deductive creative processes is for me a real source of inspiration. In the first case, the work and its emotional content contribute to shape the creation process. In the second, the work is defined by the conceptual process that takes place before the implementation. These processes led me to confront and to explore the sublimation of technical production supports of contemporary creation.
Questioning the methods of execution and production of the picture takes, therefore, a metaphysical value in the act of constructing the picture. The discipline, as well as its active components, can therefore be considered as a tool supporting a spiritual dimension
The approach adopted is a formal confrontation that submits to the production of an image of a specific discipline and image production techniques from other disciplines. This creates hybrids that stimulate new forms of symbiosis. The work comes from an exploration of the movement of « push generator » between different processes.

"Moving West"

"Moving West" is a look at the development Countries like China and what these countries feels they needs to do move closer to a western lifestyle and world's dominance. These works are created using collage mixed media techniques and are an abstract interpretation of issues these countries face in their development.

GA Gardner became well-known in the mid-1990s for his digital fine art, animation and multimedia. He explored the various aspect of 3D digital work as a fine art medium as well as created several short animated films. At the age of 25 Gardner was appointed as a full-time professor of art and William Paterson University and prepared students for animation careers at major studios such as Pixar Animation Studio, Industrial Light and Magic and DreamWorks SKG. During this time he authored several text books on the subject of art education with are used in universities in Asia, USA and Europe. His art was widely shown in New York's Soho art district and NJ. He was commissioned to do several album covers including that of hip hop artiste Rakin "the 18th Letter" for Universal Records. Over the past five years, his work has turned to a more traditional form of art, creating mixed media collage and mixed media paintings that explores cultural identity.

The sentinel at work, nos presenta su última obra en forma de ilustraciones.9 posters te dan la bienvenida a la corporación USED(United Survivors Earth Division).USED controla los pocos recursos que quedan en el planeta y a través de su propaganda nos muestra consejos y mensajes para sobrevivir en un entorno post apocalíptico.
La expo nos sitúa en una época totalmente hostil,dónde los consejos, carteles y publicaciones podrían ayudarte en un planeta tierra totalmente salvaje y peligroso.

Om Barbara mirada dilusions amb color novembre 2012

Pantocrátor Gallery/La Pan, presenta la exposición de grabados del mítico taller de grabados de la ciudad condal, Joan Barbará.
Exposición que dirige Om Barbará; nieto del insigne fundador,que ha continuado con el taller, igual que hizo su padre Virgili Barbará.
En esta muestra, Om Barbará reúne un gran número de artistas, la mayoría de la ciudad condal, desde los mas veteranos como Amelia Riera hasta los mas noveles como Julia Dierckx-Brax.
La muestra también incluye grabados de algunos de los artistas internacionales que participaron en el programa de residencia "PanStage Residence program" que gestiona Pantocrator Gallery y que en su momento también pasaron por el taller Joan Barbará.
La muestra de grabados tendrá lugar del 15 al 30 de Noviembre en La Pan. siendo el día del opening el 22 de noviembre.

Pantocrator Gallery/ La Pan, presents the exhibition of prints by the legendary print workshop in Barcelona, Joan Barbara.
Exhibition directed by Om Barbara; grandson of the famous founder, who has continued the workshop, as did his father Virgili Barbara.
In this sample, Om Barbara shows a large number of artists, most of this city, from the veterans as Amelia Riera or the young artists like Julia Dierckx-Brax.
The exhibition also includes prints by some of the international artists who participated in the "PanStage Residence program" managed by Pantocrator Gallery and also that once passed through the workshop Joan Barbara.
The exhibition will take place from 15th to 30th November in La Pan.

"Solo Exhibition"

Ramiro Davaro-Comas es un pintor argentino / e ilustrador americano que basa gran parte de su trabajo en el estudio de personajes y representaciones. Recientemente ha estado viajando por Europa y participando en residencias dirigidas por artistas y exposiciones, y los programas acaban de terminar y exposiciones en Amsterdam y Berlín. Su obra aquí en Barcelona está en curso, pero está vagamente que se basa en personajes basados en cartas de juego, con colores monocromáticos. Su serie "Dali, Toreros y Mas" se completará durante su estancia en La Pan, Barcelona.

Ramiro Davaro-Comas is an Argentine/American painter and illustrator who bases much of his work on character studies and depictions. He has recently been travelling through Europe and participating in artist run Residencies and Exhibitions, and just completed programs and exhibits in Amsterdam and Berlin. His work here in Barcelona is in progress, but is loosely being based on character based playing cards, with monochromatic colors. His series, "Dali, Toreros y Mas" will be completed during his stay at La Pan, Barcelona.

"LA PAN STAGE / RESIDENCE PROGRAM"

Pantocrator Gallery Shanghai, through its residencies programs, seeks to strengthen intercultural relations between artists of proven track record and emerging artists from different parts of the world.

During all the year, 2 selected artists residents, working in the area of the gallery, for a period of 1-2 months for each artist. Artists can work in any medium they desire, from painting, collage, video, digital art or sculpture to the transformation of their study in an installation or operation of the area.
These artists will exhibit and create new work in the gallery as their studio.
The gallery is open to the public to interact with artists and see work in progress.
