Io Solo Ho Occhi Per Te

È NATA THE NEW FLORENCE BIENNALE

THE NEW FLORENCE BIENNALE IS BORN
With the 2013 Edition the Biennale inaugurates a new cycle
This year, 2013 represents the biggest challenge of The New Florence Biennale: to renew itself and maintain its own identity. In preparation of this challenge, The New Florence Biennale is equipped with a new logo, developed by the graphic designer Alessandro Mannocchi under the supervision of the new Artistic Director, Rolando Bellini and Brand Identity Engineer, François Zille. Same colors, black and orange, yet with an upgraded contemporary look, this new logo announces the youth-oriented approach of The New Florence Biennale. In fact, this year has a special focus directed towards artists Under 30. It is no coincidence that the selected icon represents a door on Palazzo Vecchio, a welcoming symbol that conveys the openness of the City of Florence to the new bearers of art, as well as representative of the close relationship with the city and its legacy.

FRANÇOIS ZILLE : BRAND IDENTITY ENGINEER DI THE NEW FLORENCE BIENNALE
Troubadour of Communication, Poet & Gelotologist Clown ...Since 1967
Visual Anthropologist & Language Engineer
Hermeneutist & Psycho-Philosopher
Décor Designer & Décor Therapist
Socio-Analyst & Senior Strategist
Brand Identity Engineer & Digital Era Allpervading Communication Director
Francois Zille is the proud son of a miner-cook-pastry chef from Friuli and a seasonal rice winnower from Ferrara. Since childhood he was constrained to the cult of language, of dialectics and excellence in order to survive as the son of Italian immigrants in postwar France. Meaning that he had to daily auto-shape a solid and mutant identity. Thanks to God, he was encouraged in this by design and creative Italic vein. And by his innate vocation to irreverence and rebellion, enriched by a very early encounter with San Francesco, Voltaire, François Rabelais, Antoine de Saint Exupéry and Frédéric Dard. The acquired expertise of Visual Anthropologist is a happy consequence of the polio contracted at age eleven and a half, since he was forced to imagine and visualize the food on the walls of his room in Hôpital de la Croix Rousse in Lyon (1958-1959).
The objective of this propitious rite was to exorcise the frustrations of his taste buds deprived of direct contact with the food because, for many months, he was fed only with a nasal gastric tube. Since then, FZ tends to express the strong hermeneutic and psycho-philosophical tension that characterizes him by the use of a logo-iconic language original and surprising, unique in the academic-professional-artistic realm. And his "Vignettes Psycho-Philosophiques" have shown in the field to have a high empathic impact, neo-cognitive and didactic-formative. François Zille began his professional career in 1963 as a Liftier at the Grand Hotel Continental in Via Manzoni in Milan, at the time renowned hotel of the stars of the Teatro alla Scala. Where he had the good fortune to meet and dialogue with mythical people such as Jean Villard, founder of TNP Théâtre National Populaire de Paris and of legendary Avignon Theatre Festival, Giorgio De Chirico, the co-father of the metaphysical movement, theatre actor Tino Buazzelli, and the great film star and intellectual Gian Maria Volonté. Entered by chance in advertising in 1967, shortly after Pia De Fazio and Bob Elliott hired him as their junior copywriter to work "in Agency" (CPV Kenyon & Eckart Rome 1969, Alitalia's New Logo & Refounding Campaign "Dimensions '70").
