Exhibition view, photography Steeve Beckouet, 2012 The exhibition is composed of two chapters as two acts of the same experience in the art center for the first and then, in July, on the stage of the Brétigny's theater adjacent to the exhibition space. The presentation spaces of the art center and the representation area of the theater impose an experience of their own ceremonial. The artist invites visitors to consider these two differents territories from which to explore further the structures and customs that inform social experience in his own work. The exhibition follows to a first residency in 2010 and currently,a second one specific to his first solo show in France. Christodoulos Panayiotou explores the complex interconnectivity between our most innates desires and their cultural constitution.
